What is Broadband Light and Why Do We Need It?
Updated: Sep 25

Q. Are you looking in the mirror and seeing little red broken capillaries or spots of brown discoloration?
A. It is not unusual as we live our busy lives going to ball games and the beach and just running in and out of the outdoors for years starting in childhood. This is both sun damage and may also be genetics. The damage you are seeing now didn't happen yesterday or last year, it happened as a cumulative over years of living!
Q. Is this why my skin looks so dull?
A. You are on to something here! Here is an example. When light hits the surface of calm still water on the lake, the reflection of the surrounding landscape on the water is perfect. If there are ripples or waves in the water, the reflection becomes distorted and imperfect.
Q. Exactly how does this apply to my face?
A. Red or brown pigmentation in your skin absorbs the light rather than reflecting it. Crepiness, lines, and wrinkles will cause the light to be refracted and the reflection or glow is lost. Your skin becomes dull and lifeless.
Q. What can I do to get my skin to glow?
We recommend Forever Young BBL to diminish any redness and lift out the brown. Microneedling with either a chemical peel or Sculptra will help to fill in those little fine lines and wrinkles.
Q. How many treatments will I need?
A. This varies dependent on the extent of the damage and the result you desire. Usually, 1-3 will make a significant change.
